Champagne Veuve Fourny & Fils has been in business since 1856. The estate is located in the prestigious Côte des Blancs, in the Premier Cru village of Vertus, where brothers Charles-Henry and Emmanuel cultivate nearly nine hectares of vineyards.
Champagne is a land rich in emotions, which also evokes in the Fourny brothers the passion of the artisan winemaker, inherited from the four previous generations of vignerons. The vineyards are cultivated according to meticulous practices and principles, with each plot vinified individually. Veuve Fourny produces classic and artisanal wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, which express the chalky soil of Vertus. The cuvées highlight the Premier Cru terroir of the Côte des Blancs through a pure and refined style, which favors elegance and freshness. The choice not to dose or to do so only lightly is motivated by the desire to leave room for the full expression of the grape variety and the terroir.
Veuve Fourny & Fils has the privilege of owning one of the 15 sites defined as unique and exceptional in Champagne, namely the Clos du Faubourg Notre Dame, which benefits from a singular soil and microclimate, contributing to the high quality of its Chardonnay grapes. The Cuvée du Clos Notre Dame is available in only a few hundred bottles, after more than 10 years of aging in the cellar.
The company has been committed to an eco-responsible approach for several years and since 2020 has received the HVE “high environmental value” level 3 certification.
