Marina Coppi Vineyards "Grand Fostò" 2018 - Tortona Hills
Marina Coppi Vineyards "Grand Fostò" 2018 - Tortona Hills
The "Grand Fostò" is the most important Timorasso made by the Vigne Marina Coppi winery. From pure Timorasso grapes, made with cryomaceration and cold static decantation of the must. It rests and refines on the noble lees for 12 months in tonneaux.
Savoury, mineral, complex and very vital.
The wine of Francesco Bellocchio and Marina Coppi, daughter of Fausto Coppi, could not be missing from our shop.
Vigne Marina Coppi is in Castellania. The company grows native red grape varieties that have always been grown in the area: Barbera, Nebbiolo, Croatina and the white grape varieties Favorita and Timorasso.
The varieties are vinified in purity (except for the Barbera “Sant'Andrea”, to which a hint of Croatina is added) for a total of 7 labels produced.
3 lines for Timorasso, from the freshest “Francesca”, with a short stay on the noble lees, passing through the “Fausto” and finally the “Grand' Fostó”, in honour of the cycling champion Fausto Coppi, which rests on the noble lees in tonneaux for 12 months.
Then Favorita to finish with the whites and Barbera and Nebbiolo for the reds.
The care in managing the vineyard and the practices in the cellar remain constant, aimed at enhancing the greatness of the territory through an extraordinary quality of the grapes and greatness of the wines.
