Nadia Curto - Barbera d'Alba 2021
Nadia Curto - Barbera d'Alba 2021
This Barbera d'Alba comes from grapes grown in La Morra on marly soil (Marne di Sant'Agata).
Manual harvest, destemming, pressing and maceration on the skins for 3 days. Fermentation is spontaneous and takes place in stainless steel containers, where the wine ages for two years.
A small percentage of mine is refined in barriques.
Four hectares of vineyard in La Morra, Annunziata hamlet. Nadia Curto is the daughter of art: Marco Curto and his wife Adele already cultivated these four hectares of vineyard where today Nadia finds her expression.
Granddaughter of Elio Altare, Nadia absorbs in winemaking both a more traditional line (that of her father) and a more modernist line, that of Altare, which falls within that group of Barolo Boys.
The two guidelines are expressed in two Barolos: La Foia, more traditional, and Arborina, more modern.
