The Plant:

Rhododendron (Rhododendron ferrugineum / hirsutum)

An alpine shrub that grows between 1,500 and 2,200 meters, it is a staple of high-altitude moorlands. It flowers in midsummer under challenging conditions: cold nights, thin air, and intense sun exposure.
The nectar is delicate and not very sugary, which produces a very fine and not very sweet honey.

Thun Honey:

Mieli Thun is one of the most respected beekeeping companies in Italy, founded in Trentino and specializing in the production of pure monofloral honeys.
