Carlo Hauner - Salina Red 2021
Carlo Hauner - Salina Red 2021
A Sicilian red wine, from the Aeolian Islands, made with Nerello Mascalese and Nero d'Avola.
After a brief maceration on the skins, the wine is left to mature in stainless steel and for three months in the bottle before being placed on the market.
A wine with good structure, supported by great flavour and a great, enveloping persistence.
About the winery: Carlo Hauner moved to Salina in the 1970s and immediately became passionate about winemaking, in particular he began to dedicate himself to the cultivation of Malvasia, a grape that was typically used for passito wine, leaving it to dry in the sun on dedicated racks, so as to increase its sugar content and concentrate its aromatic character.
Carlo Hauner introduces several innovations in winemaking and brings the quality of the wines produced by his cellar to a very high level that opens the doors to prestigious awards and places his products on some of the best tables in great restaurants.
It also extends its production to still and dry wines, such as its Salina Rosso.
