Filippi - Soave “Vigne della Brà” 2019
Filippo Filippi's Soave Vigne della Brà is made entirely from Garganega grapes, from a 3-hectare vineyard on clayey volcanic soil, with a 2019 production of 5,000 bottles.
The average age of the plants is 65 years and the density is 2500 plants per hectare, grown using the Veronese pergola system.
In the cellar: soft pressing, spontaneous fermentation and refinement on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks.
The Filippi winery is located in Veneto in Castelcerino, the highest point of the Soave production area. The hill on which the winery stands is 400 meters above sea level on volcanic soils. But you can also find other soils that characterize the wines produced by Filippo Filippi, owner of the Venetian winery. Among these the Monteseroni, more calcareous, or the Vigne della Brà, characterized by clay soils with basaltic rocks.
All three of these Crbs are surrounded by pristine ancient woods and an incredibly suggestive landscape.
The Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave vineyards cultivated by Filippo Filippi date back 50 years, as can be clearly perceived from the material expressed by the wines, which demonstrate a lot of character even when young.
The vineyard management follows the dictates of organic farming and the plants are grown according to the traditional Veronese pergola method.
The harvest is manual in crates, while the cellar is located inside a 14th century building owned by Filippi since 1920.
Soft pressing, spontaneous fermentations and refinements mostly in steel tanks are the winery's strong points.
Fine, vibrant and easy to drink.
