In the heart of Alta Pusteria, Alpe Pragas transforms fresh fruit into superior quality jams, made with 75 % fruit and delicately processed at low temperatures.
Strawberry Jam is made from ripe, fragrant strawberries, carefully selected and gently cooked to maintain their color, aroma, and consistency.

The result is a jam with a full and natural flavour, with fresh and slightly acidic notes, ideal for bread, yoghurt, tarts or fresh cheeses .
Like all Alpe Pragas specialties, it is free from added pectin, preservatives or colorants, for an authentic and clean flavor.

Alpe Pragas

Founded in 1997 in the heart of the Dolomites, Alpe Pragas represents one of the finest expressions of South Tyrolean artisanal food production. Founded by Stefan Gruber in Braies , the company was born with the goal of transforming the finest fruit into natural jams and specialties, showcasing each individual fruit while fully respecting its ripening times and unique characteristics.

The territory

At over 1,200 meters above sea level, the Braies Valley offers a pristine environment where air, water, and soil lend an extraordinary purity to the products. This is the birthplace of a supply chain that combines South Tyrolean farming tradition with the precision and care typical of Central European culture.
The raw materials come from select crops. The Senga Sengana variety grown by Alpe Pragas produces medium-sized, dark red fruits, known for their intense flavor. Bred around 1950 by Reinhold von Sengbusch, this variety ripens medium-early and is harvested exclusively by hand. These strawberries, rich in vitamin C, provide enough to meet your daily requirement in just 150 grams.

The production philosophy

Alpe Pragas adopts a clear philosophy: “fruit as art” .
Each transformation takes place using gentle processes, at low temperatures, to preserve the aromas, colors, and natural properties. No additives, colorings, or preservatives are used; sugar is used in minimal quantities, favoring a balanced and natural sweetness.
The result is a range of authentic, intense products, instantly recognizable for their purity and harmonious flavor.
